Navi Mumbai International Airport is set to begin operations on December 25, with enhanced connectivity through the new Targhar railway station on the Uran-Belapur line. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis called the station "a special gift for Mumbaikars," as the 2 lakh square feet transit hub will provide seamless access to the airport and integrate with multiple transportation networks.

A case has been registered against Anshul Sahu, an employee of CMS Info Systems Limited, who allegedly fled with nearly Rs 70 lakh belonging to the Railways from Jhansi divisional headquarters. The employee was responsible for depositing three days' worth of cash collections into the State Bank of India's railway station branch. Police officials have launched an investigation and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the absconding employee.
