Employee of Private Cash Collection Firm Absconds with Rs 70 Lakh of Railways Funds in Jhansi

Law enforcement officials have stated that efforts are currently in progress to locate and expeditiously apprehend the individual involved.
A formal investigation has been initiated against an employee of a private cash management firm following allegations that he disappeared with approximately Rs 70 lakh belonging to the Railways from the divisional headquarters in Jhansi, according to officials.
The formal complaint was registered at Navabad police station by Gaurav Garg, who manages CMS Info Systems Limited, a Gwalior-based organization contracted for Railways' cash collection services.
The accused employee has been identified as Anshul Sahu, residing in the Kasai Baba locality of the Prem Nagar area. His responsibilities included depositing three days' worth of collected funds—totaling Rs 69,78,642—into the State Bank of India branch at the railway station, police authorities reported.
According to the manager's complaint, Sahu had collected the funds from Jhansi railway station over a three-day period from October 10 through October 12.
Mr. Garg has provided the employee's identification documents to assist law enforcement with their investigation.
Station House Officer (SHO) J P Pal confirmed that comprehensive efforts are underway to track down and promptly apprehend the absconding employee.
