Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests Indigenous Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile: Advancing Defense Capabilities

The Pakistani Navy has successfully test-fired an indigenously developed ship-launched anti-ship ballistic missile capable of striking both sea and land targets with high accuracy. This milestone demonstrates Pakistan's growing technological expertise in defense systems and follows recent efforts to enhance military capabilities, including the development of the Fatah-4 cruise missile with advanced evasion features.

Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests Indigenous Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile

The Pakistani Navy has successfully conducted a test-firing of an indigenously developed ship-launched anti-ship ballistic missile, according to a military announcement.

In a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the test was performed on Tuesday "from a locally produced naval platform, significantly enhancing the country's defense capabilities." The missile demonstrates the ability to accurately target both sea and land objectives, featuring advanced guidance technology and improved maneuverability characteristics.

A Pakistan Navy representative stated that this successful test highlights the country's advancing technological expertise and underscores the Navy's dedication to protecting national interests.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and the Services Chiefs all expressed their congratulations to the units, scientists, and engineers involved in this achievement.

Following the May conflict with India, Pakistan has concentrated on strengthening its defense capabilities. In September, the Pakistan Army conducted a training launch of its newly developed Fatah-4, a ground-launched cruise missile with a 750-kilometer range.

According to the ISPR, the Fateh-4 features sophisticated avionics and navigation aids, designed to evade missile defense systems through low-altitude, terrain-hugging flight patterns, ensuring high-precision target engagement.
