NASA Rejects Kim Kardashian's Claim That Moon Landing Didn't Happen

Kim Kardashian recently made headlines with her controversial statement claiming the moon landing never occurred.

NASA promptly responded on Thursday to refute reality TV star Kim Kardashian's assertion that the historic 1969 Moon landing "didn't happen," addressing a conspiracy theory that scientists have consistently debunked for decades.

"Yes, we've been to the Moon before... 6 times!" declared NASA acting administrator Sean Duffy in a post on the social media platform X.

The historical record clearly documents that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first humans to set foot on the lunar surface during the groundbreaking Apollo 11 mission.

Despite overwhelming evidence, conspiracy theories regarding the Moon landing have persisted for nearly five decades, with Kardashian's recent comments appearing in the latest episode of her popular series "The Kardashians."

In the episode, Kardashian tells co-star Sarah Paulson, "I'm sending you a million articles with both Buzz Aldrin and the other one."

She proceeds to read what she claims is a quote from Aldrin responding to a question about the expedition's most frightening moment: "There was no scary moment because it didn't happen. It could've been scary, but it wasn't because it didn't happen."

The source of Kardashian's alleged quote remains unidentified, and it's worth noting that Aldrin reportedly confronted a man in 2022 who had harassed him with claims that the Apollo 11 mission was fabricated.

Later in the episode, Kardashian doubles down on her position when speaking with producers, describing the space mission as "fake" and referencing "a few videos on Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn't happen."

"He says it all the time now in interviews," she insisted without providing specific sources.

In his response on X, Administrator Duffy directly tagged Kardashian and highlighted NASA's current lunar exploration program, Artemis.

"We won the last space race and we will win this one too," Duffy stated confidently before extending an invitation to Kardashian to visit Kennedy Space Center for the upcoming mission launch.
