Twenty Israeli hostages are scheduled to be freed from Gaza captivity on Monday under a ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

These individuals were abducted during Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack on Israel, which became the deadliest assault in the nation's history.

Hamas's military wing released their names on its Telegram channel on Monday.

Here are their stories.

Matan Angrest, 22

Sergeant Matan Angrest was captured near the Gaza Strip border while in his tank attempting to prevent Hamas commandos from entering Israel near the Nahal Oz base.

A resident of Kiryat Bialik in northern Israel, Angrest is an avid Maccabi Haifa football supporter, according to his family.

His family released a video in April 2025 showing the moment he was removed from his tank during the abduction.

Prior to his capture, his family had planned a Dubai trip to celebrate his upcoming completion of military service.

Gali and Ziv Berman, 28

The Berman twins were taken from the youth area of Kfar Aza kibbutz, which Hamas attackers set ablaze.

The inseparable brothers, who also hold German citizenship, worked together in music production. They support both Maccabi Tel Aviv and Liverpool football clubs. Their parents and elder brother survived the attack.

Elkana Bohbot, 36

Elkana Bohbot co-produced the Supernova music festival with childhood friends Michael and Osher Waknin. Nearly 370 people, including his friends, were killed during the Hamas attack on the event.

Married to a Colombian woman and father to a son, he resides in Mevasseret Tzion near Jerusalem.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro granted him Colombian citizenship in November 2023, a month after the attack.

His wife Rebecca Gonzalez received proof of life in mid-February 2025 from former hostage Ohad Ben Ami, who was released on February 8.

Before his abduction, Bohbot was preparing to open an ice cream stand in a Tel Aviv market, according to his parents.

In May, Hamas circulated a video showing Bohbot with fellow hostage Yossef-Haim Ohana. Though he didn't speak, he appeared visibly weakened.

Rom Braslavski, 21

Rom Braslavski, an Israeli-German from Jerusalem, was working security at the Supernova music festival when the October 7 attack began.

Between his last contact with his mother at 10:30 am and his disappearance at 1:30 pm, witnesses reported that he remained at the scene helping protect others.

Both his hands were injured during the attack.

In August 2025, Hamas ally Islamic Jihad released a video showing Braslavski appearing weak and thin as he spoke under duress.

Nimrod Cohen, 21

Hamas videos showed Nimrod Cohen being dragged alongside three other soldiers from his assault tank, which had malfunctioning brakes, near the Nahal Oz kibbutz.

The three other soldiers - Omer Neutra, Oz Daniel and Shaked Dahan - were killed and their bodies taken to Gaza. Dahan's remains were later returned to Israel.

Cohen is from Rehovot, south of Tel Aviv.

His parents have actively campaigned to raise awareness about the hostages and advocated for their release.

Nimrod Cohen always carried a Rubik's cube, and his mother carefully preserves the partially burned one found in his tank.

David and Ariel Cunio, 35 and 28

Israeli-Argentinian brothers David and Ariel Cunio were captured with several relatives while hiding in the safe room of David's home in Nir Oz kibbutz.

Attackers set the house on fire to force them out, then took eight family members hostage - the largest single-family group taken during the October 7 attack.

Six relatives have since been released.

Israeli filmmaker Tom Shoval presented "A Letter to David" as a tribute at the Berlin Film Festival in February, which later received Israel's prestigious Ophir award for best documentary in September.

In 2013, David Cunio and his twin brother Eitan played the main characters in Shoval's film "Youth."

Eitan Cunio escaped capture by hiding in his shelter at Nir Oz. The twins share identical tattoos - three small dark green stars on their wrists.

At the Berlin festival, several actors and directors displayed David Cunio's photo on the red carpet.

Evyatar David, 24

Evyatar David's parents discovered his captivity through a Telegram photo showing his face illuminated by a torch.

He attended the Supernova festival with childhood friend Guy Gilboa Dalal, who was also taken hostage and is believed to be alive.

A music enthusiast from Kfar Saba in central Israel, David was working at a cafe before his abduction, saving money for a Thailand trip.

Hamas released a propaganda video in August 2025 showing David severely undernourished and weakened, holding a shovel and stating he was digging his own grave.

Guy Gilboa Dalal, 24

Guy Gilboa Dalal was captured at Supernova, his first rave party, along with three friends when Hamas militants abducted them.

His family quickly learned of his kidnapping after seeing video footage of him and best friend Evyatar David tied up in a Gaza tunnel.

A hostage freed in June during an Israeli military operation reported that Gilboa Dalal had been mistreated by his captors.

In February 2025, Hamas released a video showing Gilboa Dalal and David watching hostage liberation ceremonies before being locked in a vehicle, pleading for release.

On September 5, he appeared in another Hamas video with fellow hostage Alon Ohel in a tunnel.

A Japanese culture enthusiast, he had been learning the language hoping to visit Japan someday.

Maxim Herkin, 37

Israeli-Russian Maxim Herkin immigrated to Israel from Ukraine with his mother.

He lives in Tirat Carmel in northern Israel and is father to a now five-year-old daughter living with her mother in Russia.

Before being kidnapped from the Supernova festival, he messaged his mother: "All is well. I'm coming home."

In spring 2025, Hamas's military wing published footage showing Herkin lying down apparently injured, his head and left arm covered in stained bandages.

Eitan Horn, 39

Argentinian-born Eitan Horn was kidnapped with his elder brother Yair Horn from the latter's home in Nir Oz kibbutz.

Eitan Horn resides in Kfar Saba, works in education, and was involved with youth movements.

His family had emigrated from Argentina years ago, according to Israeli media reports.

His brother Yair Horn, who has diabetes, was released in late February 2025.

Segev Kalfon, 27

Segev Kalfon, from Dimona in southern Israel, worked with his parents at their Arad bakery in the Negev desert.

According to a childhood friend who attended Supernova with him, Kalfon was captured while hiding in bushes along Route 232, the only exit from the festival site, running parallel to the Israel-Gaza border.

A hostage released in February informed Kalfon's family that he had been with him in captivity for some time.

Bar Kuperstein, 23

Army nurse Bar Kuperstein, who turned 23 in April, remained at the Supernova festival during the Hamas attack to help gunshot victims before being abducted.

Though a festival staff member, he wasn't on duty that day.

Videos showing him bound appeared shortly after the attack.

From Tel Aviv suburb Holon, Kuperstein assumed a crucial role in managing his family household from age 17 after his father Tal Kuperstein was left disabled in an accident, unable to speak or move.

Recently, his father regained limited ability to express himself and has been yearning for his son's return.

A rescue worker like his father, the young man once saved his grandfather Michael Kuperstein's life during a heart attack at home, only to be taken hostage two months later.

Omri Miran, 48

Omri Miran, an Israeli-Hungarian therapeutic masseur, was taken from his Nahal Oz kibbutz home as his wife Lichay Miran-Lavi and their two young daughters watched.

He appeared in an undated video released by Hamas on April 27, 2024.

"I have been here in Hamas captivity for 202 days. The situation here is unpleasant, difficult and there are many bombs," Miran stated in the footage.

Speaking apparently under duress, he urged his family to pressure the Israeli government to negotiate with Hamas.

After seeing his bearded son in the video, his father Dani Miran told AFP he was growing his own beard in solidarity.

Committed to advocating for the hostages' return, he relocated to Tel Aviv, where hostage families regularly protest demanding a release deal.

Omri Miran appeared in another Hamas video released on April 23, 2025.

Eitan Mor, 25

Eitan Mor was working as a security guard when abducted.

The son of a practicing Jewish family from the Kyriat Arba settlement in the occupied West Bank, his father Tzvika Mor founded the Forum of Hope, an organization of hostage parents opposed to negotiations with Hamas.

Yosef Haim Ohana, 25

Yossef Haim Ohana from Kyriat Malakhi in southern Israel worked as a barman at Supernova while planning to begin studies in coaching.

Witnesses saw him helping injured people during the Hamas attack before attempting to escape with a friend.

His brother Acher-Yitzhak died of cancer at just seven years old.

Ohana appeared in a Hamas video in May 2025 alongside fellow hostage Elkana Bohbot.

Alon Ohel, 24

Talented pianist Alon Ohel, who holds Serbian and German citizenship as well, was preparing to begin music studies after returning from an Asian trip shortly before being abducted at Supernova.

He was captured while trying to avoid detection with three others. He resides in the northern Israeli village of Lavon.

In February 2025, his family reported receiving proof of life through accounts from released hostages.

"He is wounded and not receiving medical treatment," the family stated.

Avinatan Or, 32

British-Israeli dual national Avinatan Or comes from a religious Jewish family with seven children from the Shilo settlement in the occupied West Bank.

His partner Noa Argamani was abducted with him at Supernova but was freed during an Israeli military operation in June 2024.

He had been planning to move in with her in Beersheva, where he studied engineering.

Matan Zangauker, 25

Matan Zangauker was kidnapped from his Nir Oz kibbutz home with his Israeli-Mexican girlfriend Ilana Gritzewsky.

She was released in November 2023 during the first truce in the two-year war.

Together with Einav Zangauker, Matan's mother, Gritzewsky became a prominent figure in the hostage release campaign.

Zangauker enjoys aeromodelling and worked at the kibbutz's medical cannabis farm.
