During a late Friday night clearance operation, three more terrorists were killed, while six additional police personnel died.

Previously, one policeman was reported dead, bringing the total security personnel fatalities to seven, with 13 policemen suffering injuries.

Officials stated that all trainee recruits and staff members were successfully evacuated to secure locations.

The operation involved SSG commandos, Al-Burq Force, Elite Force, and police personnel working together to neutralize the threat.

The incident unfolded late Friday night when terrorists crashed an explosives-laden truck into the main gate of the police training school, causing a massive explosion.

Following the blast, terrorists wearing various uniforms invaded the compound and opened indiscriminate fire. Police personnel responded and surrounded the attackers. During the firefight, the militants continuously threw hand grenades.

DPO Dera Ismail Khan Sahibzada Sajjad Ahmed and RPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar personally oversaw the operation on-site.

According to the DPO, approximately 200 trainees, instructors, and staff members were present at the training school during the attack and were safely relocated to secure areas.

Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, confirmed that the area has been completely cleared, and a search and clean-up operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining threats.

The IGP commended the leadership of the RPO and DPO for the successful operation, honoring the martyrs and announcing rewards for the officers and personnel who participated in the mission.
