Gautam Aggarwal, Division President of Mastercard South Asia, is confirmed to participate in the upcoming 2025 NDTV World Summit scheduled for October 17. This prestigious two-day gathering will assemble distinguished leaders from various sectors including politics, science, technology, and business to explore global innovation and collaborative opportunities.

As Division President for South Asia and Country Corporate Officer for India at Mastercard since January 2023, Gautam Aggarwal manages operations across multiple countries including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Maldives, and Bhutan from his Mumbai base. His comprehensive responsibilities encompass business strategy development, sales management, product oversight, marketing initiatives, and maintaining relationships with customers and regulatory bodies.

Since joining Mastercard in 2014, Aggarwal has held several leadership positions, notably serving as Regional Chief Technology Officer for the Asia Pacific region. During his tenure, he has directed technology investments exceeding $1 billion.

Aggarwal's notable achievements include establishing the first bankcard clearing system certified by the PBOC (People's Bank of China) developed by a foreign entity, which enabled Mastercard to enter China's highly regulated domestic payment market. He also led the development of a regional hub for real-time payments facilitating instant money transfers between users across multiple Asian countries, and implemented various on-soil processing systems in India, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Since March 2021, Aggarwal has been recognized as an official member of the prestigious Forbes Technology Council, an exclusive community comprising senior technology executives and thought leaders.

His professional background spans over two decades, with expertise in technology, sales and business development, product management strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Mastercard, he spent eight years with Silicon Valley startups, followed by four years at McKinsey and Company in New York, where he advised clients across industries on strategic initiatives, financial planning, and operational improvements.

Academically, Aggarwal holds an MBA with honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also earned a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Cornell University and Manipal Institute of Technology, respectively. During his MBA studies, he completed an internship at Bain & Company in New York.

The NDTV World Summit 2025 will take place on October 17 and 18 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The event will explore three central themes: "Risk, Revolve and Renewal," bringing together influential voices from around the world.
