The incident occurred when Autumn Perkins visited a Starbucks located inside a Kroger store in Middletown, Ohio. She ordered a mint majesty tea with two honey packets to go on Sunday evening.

Upon receiving her order, Perkins discovered an offensive message regarding Kirk's political views written on her cup. The image shared by Perkins revealed that the employee had inscribed "racist's fav drink" on the side of the beverage container.

"It's time for people to stop this nonsense," Perkins expressed while speaking to Fox News Digital about the incident.

According to reports, after Perkins addressed the issue with management, she learned that the employee responsible had admitted to writing the message and was subsequently terminated from their position.

"I would agree that people should be fired if they're doing something like this," Perkins stated. "I feel like Charlie stood for respect - we don't have to agree on everything. We can disagree on a lot of things, but we respect each other."

She added, "We can't communicate and grow if we're disrespecting each other."

In response to the incident, a Starbucks spokesperson issued a statement saying, "Writing this on a cup is unacceptable, and we have clear policies that prohibit negative messages to help preserve a welcoming environment."

The representative clarified, "This Starbucks location is licensed and operated by Kroger. We understand that this associate was terminated by Kroger."

The incident comes in the wake of Charlie Kirk's assassination. The 31-year-old political figure was killed by a single bullet while answering an audience member's question at a campus event in Utah.

A 22-year-old Utah technical college student has been charged with Kirk's murder. However, investigators continue to probe for a motive, which remains unclear at this time.
