Fatal Bus Accident in Nashik: 9-Year-Old Boy Killed When Bus Rolls Onto Platform at Sinnar Stand

A tragic incident occurred at the Sinnar bus stand in Maharashtra's Nashik district where a nine-year-old boy lost his life when a state transport bus unexpectedly rolled onto a passenger platform on Thursday.

The widely circulating CCTV footage captures the bus entering the terminal at moderate speed before suddenly veering onto the platform area where passengers were waiting.

Officials have identified the deceased child as Adarsh Borade, who was with his family returning to their village, Dapur Sinnar, after completing a pilgrimage to Pandharpur. The family was waiting at the bus stand when the devastating accident took place.

In addition to the fatality, at least four other individuals sustained injuries in this incident. The surveillance video shows the bus moving uncontrollably toward waiting passengers, suggesting a possible brake failure.

When the bus climbed over the platform, it struck several people who had been waiting to board. Bystanders, including passengers and local shopkeepers, immediately rushed to assist those injured, pulling them away from the danger as the vehicle finally came to a stop.

Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating whether a mechanical malfunction caused the crash. Initial reports point toward a potential brake failure, though technical inspections of the vehicle remain ongoing. Officials plan to question the driver once medical clearance is obtained.

Meanwhile, the injured victims are receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital facility.
