Unidentified Woman Found Murdered Near Adarsh Nagar Railway Tracks in Delhi: Investigation Underway

The Crime Team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) Team have thoroughly examined the crime scene.
New Delhi:
On Sunday, police discovered the body of an unidentified woman allegedly murdered near the railway tracks behind Shed No. 2 at Adarsh Nagar Railway Station in Delhi.
According to official police reports, information was received on 16 November 2025 from ASI Dharmender (No. 29/Railway, PIS No. 28883949) of Police Station Subzi Mandi, regarding a female body approximately 50 years of age found lying near the tracks with torn clothing and visible injuries.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police team found the woman in a partially unclothed state, exhibiting multiple injury marks and deep lacerations on her face and head. Investigators believe these wounds were likely inflicted with a sharp-edged weapon.
The victim, who remains unidentified, is estimated to be between 40 and 42 years old and approximately 5 feet in height. Based on initial assessments, authorities suspect she may have been a rag picker or homeless person. A potential murder weapon was recovered from the location, along with a pair of both women's and men's footwear.
The Crime Investigation Team and Forensic Science Laboratory experts have conducted a detailed examination of the crime scene. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area as part of their investigation.
Police have registered a murder case, and a comprehensive investigation is currently in progress.
