Kaushambi: An elderly farmer, aged 80, lost his life following an attack by a stray bull on Sunday morning, according to local police reports.

The deceased has been identified as Chandrashekhar Pandey, who resided in Jubra village, authorities confirmed.

Shivank Singh, Circle Officer of Manjhanpur, stated that the tragic incident occurred while Pandey was sitting outside his residence when a stray bull suddenly attacked him.

The officer explained that the elderly farmer sustained severe injuries during the attack. Nearby villagers rushed to his aid and rescued him from the situation. His family members immediately transported him to a local private healthcare facility, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries during medical treatment.

The police official further added that authorities have arranged for a post-mortem examination of the victim's body.
