Armed Robbers Steal Rs 7 Lakh in Late-Night Jewellery Shop Heist in Maharashtra's Solapur

Four armed criminals broke into Mayakka Jewellers in Maharashtra's Tisangi village, assaulted the owner and escaped with gold, silver and cash worth Rs 7 lakh. The six-minute heist was captured on CCTV, and police are currently investigating the incident using the surveillance footage.

The robbers escaped with gold and silver worth Rs 6.8 lakh and about Rs 1 lakh in cash.

Four unidentified men broke into a jewellery shop in Maharashtra's Tisangi village during the night and escaped with valuables worth approximately Rs 7 lakh.

The incident occurred around 1 am at Mayakka Jewellers in Solapur district, where the proprietor Akshay Sukhdev Kolekar was sleeping inside the premises.

Armed with guns and swords, the perpetrators forced entry into the shop, gagged the owner with cloth and physically assaulted him before stealing the merchandise.

Surveillance footage from inside the establishment documented the entire incident. The video shows one robber restraining the owner while his accomplices thoroughly searched the shop and collected jewellery and money.

The robbery was executed in merely six minutes. The recording also captures the shop owner's unsuccessful attempt to pursue the thieves outside.

The criminals fled with gold and silver items valued at Rs 6.8 lakh along with approximately Rs 1 lakh in cash.

Authorities have registered a case at the rural police station, and investigators are currently analyzing the CCTV footage as part of their inquiry.
