New Delhi:
India stated on Friday that the international community recognizes the relationship between terrorists and the Pakistani state, addressing various video messages featuring Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group leaders discussing retaliation against India's May military operations.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal indicated that these messages revealed Islamabad's connections with terrorist organizations.
"The world is aware of the nexus between the terrorists and the Pakistani state and military," he remarked.
"Such statements make this relationship even more evident. This is our perspective on the videos you mentioned," Jaiswal explained during his weekly media briefing in response to a question.
Several alleged video messages circulating on social media recently show JeM leaders urging individuals to join the terrorist group for "jihad" against India.
In some recordings, JeM leaders also discussed the consequences of India's military strikes targeting terrorist infrastructure.
A video that went viral Thursday featured JeM commander Ilyas Kashmiri claiming that Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir had directly ordered the Corps Commander of Bahawalpur and soldiers to attend funerals of those killed during Indian missile strikes on JeM headquarters on May 7.
India initiated Operation Sindoor on May 7 targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan-controlled territories following the Pahalgam terror attack.
The military action led to four days of intense confrontation that concluded with an agreement to cease hostilities on May 10.
Addressing another question, Jaiswal reiterated India's consistent position that third-party mediation in India-Pakistan matters is not acceptable.
"I want to clarify that there is absolutely no role for third-party mediation in India-Pakistan issues," he emphasized.
Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told Al-Jazeera in a recent interview that when US Secretary of State Marco Rubio contacted him on May 10 regarding a ceasefire with India, he was informed this would be followed by dialogue with India at a neutral venue.
Dar mentioned that during his meeting with the Secretary of State in Washington in July, he inquired about the dialogue, and was told that India considers it a bilateral matter.
"When we met on July 25 for a bilateral meeting, myself with Secretary Rubio in Washington, I asked what happened to the dialogue. He said India says that it is a bilateral issue," the Pakistani foreign minister stated.
