"He has never traveled to Delhi. In fact, he has never even departed from Kashmir. Any image showing him in front of a vehicle might be doctored or created using artificial intelligence," stated the family of the 27-year-old suspect.

Investigators believe that Aamir, Umar, and Tariq were involved in transferring the Hyundai i20 automobile to the suspected suicide bomber.

Delhi Police sources revealed that the original owner of the i20, Mohd Salman - who has been arrested - sold the vehicle to an individual named Devender in March. Devender subsequently sold it to Aamir, who then passed the car to Umar. Tariq, a resident of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, was also aware of the vehicle transfer.

The explosion occurred at 6:52 PM near the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening, leaving mutilated bodies and damaged vehicles scattered throughout the busy area. Disturbing footage showed bodies on the ground and severed body parts. Shortly after the blast, numerous security personnel flooded the area, and ambulances transporting several injured individuals rushed to the nearby Lok Nayak Hospital (LNJP).

The incident took place on the same day that authorities discovered a massive cache of 2,900 kg of explosives just 50 kilometers from the capital, in Faridabad, Haryana. Sources indicated that Dr Umar Mohammad, the car's owner, reportedly became anxious and triggered the explosion near the Red Fort after investigators apprehended two key members of the group - Dr Mujammil Shakeel and Dr Adil Rather - and confiscated the explosives.

According to sources, he planned the attack with two additional accomplices and installed a detonator in the vehicle.

Sources further revealed that ammonium nitrate, which was discovered in Faridabad, was utilized in the explosion.
