Grand Alliance chief ministerial candidate and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav marked his 36th birthday celebration during an election rally in Karakat on Sunday.

The birthday festivities took place on stage at the Inter College ground in Sanjhauli, where Tejashwi cut a cake while supporters displayed placards with birthday wishes.

During the event, a video captured by Press Trust of India showed Tejashwi celebrating with party workers in Rohtas, Bihar.

In his address to voters, Tejashwi urged support for CPI(ML) candidate Arun Kumar from the Karakat constituency.

Speaking to the assembled crowd, he criticized the current NDA administration, labeling it as "dishonest" and outlined his alternative vision for governance.

The RJD leader emphasized that if the Mahagathbandhan forms the government, they would implement the 'Mai Behan Maan Yojana' scheme, which would provide Rs 30,000 deposits into accounts of all Bihar women by January 14.

His campaign promises also included providing LPG cylinders at Rs 500 and increasing old age and widow pensions to Rs 1,500 monthly.

Tejashwi reaffirmed his commitment to providing a government job in every household under his alliance's administration, offering free electricity for irrigation, and exempting the Pasi community from prohibition law restrictions.

He further expressed his ambition to transform Bihar into a state where residents would not need to migrate elsewhere for employment opportunities.

This rally occurred on the final day of campaigning for the second phase of Bihar Assembly elections.

The upcoming polling for 122 seats is scheduled for November 11.

Political parties across Bihar are conducting numerous public meetings to make their final appeals to voters before the election.

Tejashwi's campaign schedule includes approximately twelve rallies on this last campaign day, with five planned across different Assembly segments within Rohtas district.

The RJD is fielding candidates in 143 seats for the Bihar Assembly election 2025, with 70 of those candidates competing in the second phase.

Voting will take place across multiple divisions including Champaran, Kosi, Seemanchal, Bhagalpur, Magadh, and Shahabad.
