Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the RJD-Congress alliance during his rallies in Bihar's Bhagalpur and Araria districts on Thursday. He accused the opposition of harboring sympathies for infiltrators while showing disrespect for Lord Ram and 'Chhathi Maiya' due to vote bank politics.
The Prime Minister pointed out that opposition leaders have avoided visiting Ayodhya to pay respects at shrines dedicated to Nishad Raj, Mata Shabri, and Maharshi Valmiki, suggesting this reflected their "hatred" toward Dalits and backward classes.
"Bihar experienced zero development during the 15 years of 'jungle raj.' No highways, bridges, or higher education institutions were constructed during that period. Under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's leadership, the NDA has worked diligently to transform the state," Modi stated.
He highlighted Bihar's current infrastructure achievements, including expressways, river bridges, four central universities, and other educational institutions. "Only the NDA can ensure this growth trajectory continues without interruption," he asserted.
Modi identified infiltration as a major obstacle to Bihar's development path. "The NDA is firmly committed to removing every infiltrator from the country. However, the Congress-RJD provides them protection, organizes political rallies supporting them, and spreads misleading narratives," he claimed, referencing Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi's 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' and allegations regarding "vote theft."
The Prime Minister alleged that whenever the RJD-Congress gains power, they attempt to give infiltrators backdoor entry due to vote bank politics, which ultimately impacts legitimate citizens as infiltrators claim resources meant for the people.
Modi criticized opposition leaders for what he described as contempt for traditions stemming from vote bank politics. "The Congress naamdaar (dynast) called devotion to Chhathi Maiya a drama. They never visit Ayodhya for Lord Ram's darshan," he said.
"I understand their aversion to Lord Ram. But they could at least pay respects at shrines dedicated to Nishad Raj, Shabri Mata, and Maharshi Valmiki. Their reluctance reveals their hatred for Dalits and backward classes," Modi alleged.
The Prime Minister began his speeches by acknowledging the ongoing voting in 121 of 243 assembly segments during the first phase of elections. "I've seen wonderful images of voters arriving in large numbers at polling stations. The enthusiasm is evident among both young and old," he remarked.
Modi expressed satisfaction with women's vigorous participation in voting, stating that "our mothers, sisters, and daughters have formed a veritable fortress at polling stations to prevent the return of jungle raj."
He emphasized the power of individual votes, saying, "Your ancestors cast single votes to bring social justice to Bihar. Similarly, through the power of individual votes, the 'jungle raj' that plagued the state for 15 years and devastated an entire generation was ultimately removed."
Modi reiterated that 'katta' (homemade weapons), 'kroorta' (cruelty), 'katuta' (bitterness), 'kushasan' (misgovernance), and corruption characterized the 15-year 'jungle raj.' "In RJD's curriculum, 'A' stands for 'apharan' (kidnapping), 'F' for 'firauti' (ransom), and 'P' for 'parivarvaad' (dynasty rule)," he added.
Taking aim at Congress, Modi claimed their dictionary lacks terms like 'swadeshi' (indigenous) and 'atmanirbharta' (self-reliance). "What grievance do they harbor against the poor who have benefited from these initiatives?" he questioned.
The Prime Minister accused both alliance partners of instigating social unrest, blaming RJD for caste violence and Congress for "communal riots, including the infamous Bhagalpur incident (1989), which remains an indelible stain comparable to the anti-Sikh violence of 1984."
"The 'jungle raj wallahs' (proponents of lawlessness) dominated you with an arrogant attitude revealing their mindset of considering themselves masters over the people. PM Modi follows different principles. He regards the people as his masters (mai-baap), as his own family," he stated.
Modi also claimed internal conflict exists between Congress and RJD, parties he characterized as led by "the most corrupt family nationally" and "the most corrupt family in Bihar" respectively.
Apparently referencing Gandhi, Modi alleged the Congress 'naamdar' has been notably absent from campaigning. "People say he didn't want to visit Bihar and was brought here reluctantly. Now, he's causing damage to the RJD. Those who betray allies for power can never truly care about Bihar's welfare," he claimed.
"After elections, all INDI Alliance partners will be seen fighting each other. The RJD threatened Congress with a katta (homemade gun) to get its leader (Tejashwi Yadav) named as CM candidate. Congress, further humiliated by its 'naamdar' being excluded from RJD posters, seeks revenge," Modi alleged.
Referring to Vikassheel Insan Party founder Mukesh Sahni, Modi claimed the RJD-Congress conflict has intensified to such a degree that even their deputy CM candidate now speaks against 'jungle raj.'
