In a tragic incident, a 13-year-old boy reportedly took his own life by hanging himself at his residence in Rajasthan's Dholpur district after being reprimanded by his father for playing mobile games, according to police statements on Thursday.

The unfortunate event took place in Kurendra village on Wednesday evening.

Police reported that Vishnu, angered after being scolded for playing mobile games, retreated to his room. When family members called him for dinner, he did not answer.

Upon checking his room, they discovered the Class 8 student had hanged himself. The family immediately rushed him to a hospital where medical professionals pronounced him dead.

According to police, preliminary investigations suggest the boy was upset with his father for reprimanding him over playing mobile games.
