Mumbai authorities report a tragic incident where a 43-year-old man was fatally beaten by his roommates over what appears to be a trivial disagreement in the eastern suburbs area.

The victim, identified as Javed Ahmed Ashiq Ali Khan, was violently assaulted by his roommates in their Kurla West apartment on Monday evening after he declined their request to fetch food from a nearby restaurant.

Police officials quickly apprehended four suspects: Sehbaz Sajjad Hussain Khan (21), Jamal Hussain Khan (42), Sajjad Hussain Khan (42), and Arif Hussain Khan (32). All arrests were made within hours of the deadly incident.

According to the investigating officer, the confrontation began when the roommates asked Ahmed to bring them food from a restaurant. When he responded that he wasn't hungry and refused to go out, the situation escalated rapidly.

The accused reportedly verbally abused Ahmed before physically attacking him with punches, kicks, and ultimately assaulting him with a stick.

Ahmed was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation into this shocking act of violence.
