Tragic Incident in Karnataka: Mother Takes Lives of Two Children Before Committing Suicide

Police reported that a woman allegedly took the lives of her two children before dying by suicide in this district on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at Bettadapura in Periyapatna taluk of the district.

According to police officials, Arabiya Bhanu, a woman in her 20s, allegedly slit the throats of her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter and her ten-day-old infant girl before taking her own life.

Initial investigations have revealed that her husband was employed at a mall in Bengaluru, while she had been residing with the children at their home in Bettadapura.

Authorities suspect that she may have taken this extreme step following a family dispute. However, an investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause behind this tragic incident.
