A tragic incident occurred in Bengaluru when 24-year-old Somala Vamshi fatally attacked his 41-year-old colleague Bheemesh Babu following an intense argument over switching off lights in their workplace.

The deadly confrontation took place around 1:30 am on Saturday at the office of Data Digital Bank, a company specializing in the storage of daily movie shooting footage.

Bheemesh Babu, who hailed from Chitradurga district, lost his life when what began as a disagreement about turning off lights during the night shift escalated dramatically.

Police reports indicate that in a moment of uncontrolled anger, Somala Vamshi, who originates from Vijayawada, struck Bheemesh on the forehead with a dumbbell. The blow proved fatal, killing Bheemesh instantly.

Following the violent act, Vamshi immediately turned himself in at the Govindraj Nagar police station.

Authorities have registered a murder case against Vamshi and placed him under arrest. Police officials confirmed that further investigation into the circumstances surrounding this workplace homicide is ongoing.
