Miraculous Survival: Three-Year-Old Girl Survives Being Run Over by Minor Driver in Gujarat Accident

A three-year-old girl narrowly escaped death on Wednesday (Oct 29) when a vehicle driven by a minor ran over her in Ahmedabad's Noblenagar area. The entire incident was captured on surveillance footage, which subsequently went viral across social media platforms. The vehicle, notably lacking a registration plate, was operated illegally. Law enforcement has since responded to the incident and initiated legal proceedings.

The toddler was engaged in outdoor play near her residence when the incident occurred. The teenage driver failed to notice her presence and drove over her with the vehicle. The car came to a halt only after nearby residents began shouting in alarm. Bystanders quickly gathered around the scene, with the CCTV recording showing one woman physically confronting the adolescent driver. Remarkably, the young girl survived this harrowing experience, with footage documenting her crawling from beneath the vehicle and regaining her footing.

The footage was published on X (previously known as Twitter) by user Himanshu Parmar, who directed attention to relevant authorities and requested immediate intervention.

Ahmedabad Police acknowledged the video evidence, stating they had formally registered charges against the driver and commenced an investigation into the matter.

"In this case, Crime Register No. 366/2025 has been registered at "G" Division Traffic Police Station under BNS Sections 281, 125(A), and Motor Vehicles Act Sections 177, 184, 181. Legal action has been taken against the juvenile who came into conflict with the law," the police department confirmed.

The incident prompted significant online response, triggering discussions regarding road safety protocols and the necessity for heightened vigilance in residential communities.

One commenter described it as a "Deeply disturbing incident", adding: "This is 100% preventable and comes down to a single, non - negotiable rule: NEVER allow a minor or an unlicensed person to operate a motor vehicle. Car keys must be kept securely away from children. For any licensed driver, the rule is to always reverse slowly and meticulously check all mirrors and blind spots before and during the maneuver."
