Ayodhya:
Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairman Nripendra Mishra announced on Wednesday that public donations for the Ram Temple construction have exceeded Rs 3,000 crore.
He further stated that the total estimated cost of the temple project is approximately Rs 1,800 crore.
"Devotees across India have contributed more than Rs 3,000 crore towards the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. While the total cost of the temple project is estimated at around Rs 1,800 crore, billing of approximately Rs 1,500 crore has already been completed," Mishra explained.
The chairman mentioned that citizens from throughout the country responded with remarkable generosity since the funding campaign launched in 2022.
All donors will receive invitations to attend the flag hoisting ceremony scheduled for November 25.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will serve as the chief guest at this event and will personally hoist the flag on the temple spire, according to Mishra.
During his visit, Modi is also expected to tour the Sheshavatar temple, Kuber Tila, and Sapt Mandapam, all situated within the 70-acre temple complex.
A trial run of the flag hoisting was conducted on Wednesday.
Earlier this year, on January 22, 2024, the idol of Lord Ram was consecrated at the Ram Temple with Prime Minister Modi in attendance.
Mishra noted that the main temple can accommodate between 5,000 and 8,000 devotees simultaneously.
The 'darshan' route leading to the southern exit takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, while the full route extending to Sugriv Kila requires around 40 minutes.
Mishra added that more than 8,000 people will be invited to attend the upcoming flag hoisting ceremony.
