Rahul Gandhi Accuses BJP of Remotely Controlling Bihar Government Through Nitish Kumar's Image

In his first election rally in Bihar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that BJP is running Bihar through "remote control" while merely using Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as a figurehead. Gandhi criticized the BJP for opposing social justice, creating two different Indias - one for common people and another for billionaires - and warned about potential election manipulation. He promised that if the INDIA bloc forms the government, it would protect all sections of society regardless of caste or religion.

Rahul Gandhi stated that Bihar is being operated through remote control, and the BJP is utilizing Nitish Kumar's image.

Muzaffarpur:

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged that the BJP is governing Bihar "through remote control," while merely using Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as a figurehead.

The opposition leader in the Lok Sabha made these remarks during his first election rally in the state, held in Muzaffarpur district.

"I concur with Tejashwi Yadav, who spoke before me, that Bihar's government is being operated through remote control. They are simply utilizing Nitish Kumar's image," Gandhi claimed.

The former Congress president also criticized the ruling BJP at the Centre for being "opposed to social justice" and highlighted that the Narendra Modi government agreed to a caste census only after pressure from the opposition party.

Gandhi asserted, "Two Indias are emerging. One belongs to ordinary citizens, while the other serves five or ten billionaires. This explains why regions like Bihar remain impoverished, with their vast potential untapped."

"Everyone witnessed the performance Modi attempted when he announced plans to take a dip in the Yamuna during Chhath Puja. When it was revealed that it was merely a water body created through piped water, Modi backed away," the Congress leader claimed.

"Modi boasts about making affordable data accessible to people. He conceals the fact that one business house has been granted a monopoly in the telecom sector. He remained silent about the economic devastation caused by demonetization," Gandhi alleged.

The Congress leader, who had conducted a Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar several months earlier, further claimed that "they manipulated the elections in Maharashtra and Haryana. They will attempt the same in Bihar."

He affirmed that if the INDIA bloc forms the next government, it will ensure that the interests of all societal segments, regardless of caste or religion, are protected.

"Vote manipulation constitutes an attack on Babasaheb Ambedkar's Constitution. We are dedicated to safeguarding the Constitution," Gandhi stated.

Gandhi also referenced Bihar's illustrious ancient history, mentioning Nalanda University, adding, "Your potential remains evident. People from this state are thriving in Dubai, Mauritius, Seychelles, and America."

"Your potential needs to be harnessed. The modern University of Nalanda was conceived by the previous Congress-led central government. I envision a future where Americans will come to Bihar for higher education," he said.

"You also comprehend political complexities instantaneously. I urge you not to be influenced by Narendra Modi's theatrics. He would willingly dance on stage if he thought it would secure your votes," Gandhi alleged.
