Karnataka Bank's Wi-Fi Network Renamed to "Pakistan Zindabad": Prank or Deliberate Provocation?

A police investigation has been launched in Karnataka following the discovery that a bank's Wi-Fi network was renamed to "Pakistan Zindabad." This concerning change was detected in the wireless network of Jigani Kallubalu Co-operative Bank located in Bengaluru Urban district.

Police sources revealed that the issue was discovered on Tuesday morning when a customer named Govardhan Singh noticed the suspicious network name while at the bank premises. Alarmed by the discovery, Singh promptly filed a complaint with local authorities.

At the time of the incident, the bank's wireless network was undergoing maintenance, and a local technician had been called to perform repairs on the system.

Curiously, by the time the altered network name was discovered, the technician had already departed from the bank. Attempts to contact him proved futile as his mobile phone was switched off, raising additional concerns about his potential involvement.

Authorities are still attempting to locate the technician for questioning regarding the incident.

Following Govardhan Singh's formal complaint, law enforcement officials registered a case and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the network name change.

Police are currently working to determine whether this incident was merely a thoughtless prank or a deliberate attempt to provoke communal tensions in the area.
