Illegal Arms Factory Busted in Madhya Pradesh: Police Raid Uncovers Professional Weapon Manufacturing Operation

Police in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district successfully uncovered an illegal weapons manufacturing operation that was functioning from a rented farmhouse.

The authorities confiscated 12 country-made pistols, three live cartridges, and substantial quantities of weapon-manufacturing materials. The raid revealed that a local criminal network had established a comprehensive gun production facility by employing skilled craftsmen from Uttar Pradesh at a monthly salary of Rs 50,000.

Bhind Superintendent of Police Dr Asit Yadav explained that the illegal operation was being conducted from a farmhouse in Rupawai, where four individuals were assembling firearms. The criminal group had leased the property for Rs 20,000 monthly and recruited two expert gunsmiths from Mainpuri district in Uttar Pradesh to craft the weapons. "This wasn't minor criminal activity, but rather a large-scale industrial operation," Dr Yadav stated. "The gang had developed an organized business structure, complete with monthly compensation and manufacturing goals."

The illegal operation was discovered when Barohi police station officer Atul Bhadoria received intelligence on October 21 about an individual waiting near Amalhari village crossroads to sell unauthorized firearms. Police promptly arrived at the location and apprehended the suspect, seizing one 32-bore pistol, three 315-bore pistols, and three live ammunition rounds.

During questioning, the detained individual revealed information about the clandestine arms workshop. Acting quickly, authorities raided the location and discovered 12 pistols, along with raw materials used in weapons production.

The suspects admitted that weapon materials were procured from Etawah, Mainpuri, and Etah districts in Uttar Pradesh. Their operation had been functioning since September 19 and had already produced 22 pistols, with at least seven sold in the illegal weapons market.

Law enforcement has also arrested three purchasers of these illegal firearms, while others are currently being tracked. The principal gunsmith employed at the farmhouse, who is a known criminal, remains at large. Authorities have announced a Rs 10,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
