The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has successfully dismantled a major narcotics manufacturing and distribution network operating throughout the Delhi-NCR region. This extensive operation resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs with an estimated street value of approximately Rs 109 crore.
During a meticulously coordinated operation conducted between October 21-23, DRI officials confiscated multiple types of narcotics including 16.27 kg of amphetamine, 7.9 kg of cocaine, 1.8 kg of heroin, 2.13 kg of ganja, and 115.42 kg of precursor chemicals. The total illicit market value of these seized substances amounts to Rs 108.81 crore according to an official statement released on Friday.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 26 foreign nationals who were allegedly involved in this extensive drug network. These individuals are now facing serious charges related to drug trafficking and manufacturing.
This complex enforcement action was executed across multiple jurisdictions and under challenging field conditions. It demonstrates the DRI's dedication to intelligence-led enforcement strategies and highlights their effective inter-agency coordination capabilities.
The operation showcases the DRI's unwavering commitment to combating the significant threats posed by narcotics smuggling and synthetic drug manufacturing networks operating in India. Officials emphasized that this successful bust represents an important victory in their ongoing battle against illegal drug trafficking operations.
