Moradabad:

Authorities have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against a school-cum-madrassa in Moradabad following allegations from a parent that the institution demanded his 13-year-old daughter provide a "virginity test" report as a condition for readmission.

The incident came to light when the father, originally from Chandigarh but currently residing in Moradabad, attempted to re-enroll his daughter who had been absent from the institution for an extended period without providing prior notification to school administrators.

According to police officials, when the father approached the boarding school seeking readmission for his daughter, a class 8 student, the school authorities allegedly refused to accept her back unless she submitted a "virginity test" report.

Circle Officer (Highway) Rajesh Kumar confirmed, "We have registered an FIR against the school and initiated an investigation into the matter. Additional legal sections will be incorporated based on what our investigation reveals."

The educational institution, which functions as both a madrassa and an intermediate college, operates with affiliations to the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board and the Basic Shiksha Department.
