On PM Modi's Birthday, Attempt At Blood Donation World Record Across Countries

Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw took part in the nationwide blood donation initiative.
A massive blood donation campaign was organized across India on Wednesday to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday celebrations. The Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP) coordinated this initiative, with the ambitious goal of collecting three lakh blood units in a single day through 7,000 camps established nationwide.
Named Raktdan Amrit Mahotsav 2.0, this campaign extends beyond Indian borders. According to Amit Jain, ABTYP's all-India general secretary, blood donation camps have been arranged in 70 countries worldwide, including Nepal, the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Australia, Dubai, and various African nations.
In New Delhi, Union Railway and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw donated blood at Anuvrat Bhavan, ITO. Union Ministers Anupriya Patel and Mansukh Mandaviya also visited the venue, commending the efforts to create this life-saving movement.

ABTYP claims the campaign has received support from Prime Minister Modi and several ministries including Education, Railways, Health, Sports and Youth Affairs. Organizers emphasize that the initiative aims beyond record-setting, focusing on ensuring no life is lost due to blood shortage and strengthening the country's blood banks for emergencies.
Wishes Pour In For PM Modi's 75th Birthday
Alongside the extensive blood donation drive, world leaders extended warm birthday wishes to PM Modi. Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged PM Modi's personal contribution to strengthening India-Russia relations.
Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni praised his leadership qualities, describing his "strength, determination, and ability to lead millions of people" as inspirational.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed PM Modi as his "good friend Narendra" while highlighting his accomplishments.
US President Donald Trump personally called PM Modi to convey birthday wishes. On Truth Social, Trump commented that Modi was doing "a tremendous job" and expressed gratitude for his "support on ending the War between Russia and Ukraine.
