A horrifying incident occurred earlier today when a 21-year-old college student was violently murdered in broad daylight near the Srirampura railway track in Bengaluru.

The victim has been identified as Yamini Priya, a B.Pharm student attending college in the Hosakerehalli area of Karnataka's capital city.

Reports indicate she departed from her residence around 7 am, informing family members about her exam, and was returning home when the attack occurred.

While walking in the vicinity of Mantri Mall, an unidentified youth allegedly approached her from behind, slit her throat, and immediately fled the scene. Eyewitnesses promptly alerted the Srirampura police, who quickly arrived to secure the area, conduct an inspection, and gather evidence from the crime scene.
