In a significant proclamation just weeks before Bihar's crucial election, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav declared that if the Opposition alliance secures victory, one member from each family across the state will receive a government position. He guaranteed that legislation enabling this initiative would be introduced within 20 days after forming the government. "There will be no home in Bihar without a job," he stated during a media briefing.

"Today we are making a historic announcement. Many people have inquired about our vision for Bihar's progress. For two decades, this dysfunctional government has failed to recognize unemployment as the primary concern," Yadav remarked.

He pointed out that NDA partners JDU and BJP are offering unemployment allowance rather than actual employment. "Any Bihar family currently without a government job will receive one through new legislation. We will introduce this legislation within 20 days of government formation. And within 20 months, we will ensure every household in Bihar has a government job," Yadav explained.

The Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly emphasized that his commitment is based on factual data. "This is my solemn promise. This is achievable. This is not empty rhetoric," he asserted.

He stated that Bihar's citizens desire change this election. "Beyond social justice, we will deliver economic justice for Bihar's people. This is feasible with proper determination. They have imitated our announcements."

Yadav's major declaration comes at a strategic moment when the ruling coalition cannot make new electoral promises due to the enforcement of the model code of conduct.

Elections for Bihar's 243 Assembly seats will proceed in two phases - November 6 and November 11. Vote counting will occur on November 14.

Opposing the ruling NDA coalition is the Mahagathbandhan comprising RJD, Congress and Left parties. Political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has also entered the contest with his Jan Suraaj Party preparing for its electoral debut.
