Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to citizens across the nation on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, encouraging everyone to draw inspiration from this significant festival.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed warm wishes to all Indians on the sacred festival of Vijayadashami, urging them to embrace the courage and wisdom symbolized by this celebration as they move forward in life.

Vijayadashami, commonly known as Dussehra, marks the culmination of the nine-day Shardiya Navaratri festivities. Occurring on the tenth day of the month of Ashvin according to the Hindu lunisolar calendar, this festival represents the ultimate victory of righteous forces over evil.

The Prime Minister shared his thoughts on social platform X, stating, "Vijayadashami symbolizes the triumph of good and truth over evil and falsehood. I hope this sacred occasion inspires everyone to progress continuously on the path of courage, wisdom, and devotion."

He warmly addressed the nation, adding, "My heartiest Vijayadashami greetings to all my family members across the country."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also joined in celebrating the occasion with a message on X.

"Heartfelt congratulations to all devotees and citizens of the state on the great festival of Vijayadashami, the sacred symbol of the eternal victory of truth, righteousness, values, good conduct, and eternal principles!" he expressed.

The Chief Minister further added, "May every heart be illuminated by the light of righteousness and truth through Lord Shri Ram's grace."

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta likewise shared her wishes on X, emphasizing the festival's deeper spiritual significance.

"This sacred day of Dussehra reminds us that adherence to truth, righteousness, and eternal values represents true victory in life. This festival inspires all of us to follow the path of dharma, duty, and humanity," she noted.

"May Lord Shri Ram's blessings bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to every household. Heartfelt congratulations on Vijayadashami to all fellow countrymen and residents of Delhi," she concluded.

The term Vijayadashami itself combines 'vijaya' meaning victory and 'dashami' referring to the tenth day, aptly describing this festival that celebrates the triumph of righteousness over malevolent forces.
