400kg Marijuana Seized Near Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City: Rs 2 Crore Drug Trafficking Operation Busted

Authorities near Hyderabad executed a significant drug operation, intercepting over 400 kilograms of marijuana (Ganja) that was headed for Rajasthan. The confiscated drugs hold an estimated street value of Rs 2 crore.

This successful operation was conducted as a collaborative effort between the Rachakonda Narcotics Police and the Regional Narcotics Control Cell, Khammam Wing of the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE), Telangana.

Law enforcement stopped a DCM goods transport vehicle near Ramoji Film City in the Rachakonda jurisdiction. During their inspection, officers uncovered the substantial drug shipment cleverly hidden beneath coconuts, a common smuggling technique used to avoid detection.

Following the seizure, three individuals were promptly arrested. All three suspects are Rajasthan residents and have been charged under the applicable sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

While this operation represents a major achievement in combating drug trafficking, the investigation continues. Police have identified two primary suppliers and a receiver as key figures in the operation and are actively searching for them.

A case has been formally registered at the Rachakonda Narcotics Police Station as authorities continue their investigation to apprehend the remaining members of this interstate drug network.
