Uttarakhand CM Dhami Approves CBI Probe into Paper Leak Scandal: "Ready to Sacrifice for Youth"

Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami has approved the recommendation for a CBI investigation into the state paper leak case.

On Wednesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his dedication to the youth of the state, stating he would even sacrifice his life for them if necessary.

During a media interaction following an event in Dehradun, Mr. Dhami addressed criticism about his decision to personally meet with protesters demonstrating against alleged examination fraud conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC).

"Young people were sitting there in the hot sun, voicing their concerns. Some believe I shouldn't have gone there or yielded to their demands. However, I maintain that if I need to humble myself, I am prepared to sacrifice my life for the youth if required, because they represent our future," Mr. Dhami stated.

He acknowledged there had been communication challenges between his administration and the protesters, which prompted his personal visit to establish direct dialogue and accept their demand for an investigation.

The Chief Minister has subsequently approved a recommendation for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter, which came to light on September 21.

Mr. Dhami emphasized the government's firm commitment to ensuring transparent recruitment processes and assured that those found guilty would face consequences without exception.
