During his visit to Adani Vidya Mandir (AVM) on Monday, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat encouraged students to embrace diligence, discipline, and abstinence from vices as essential components for achieving success. He emphasized the importance of living simply and responsibly.

The Governor delivered an inspiring address focused on determination, values, and optimism at the AVM campus, where he was received by Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, alongside Trustee Shilin Adani.

"Children who demonstrate dedication from their early years, avoid negative influences, and commit to progress cannot be hindered by any force in the world. For such determined students, opportunities consistently emerge," Governor Devvrat stated to the young audience.

He assured students that challenging backgrounds never constitute barriers for those who choose to pursue effort and integrity. The Governor referenced the life journeys of influential figures such as former US President Abraham Lincoln and former Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam as compelling examples of individuals who transcended difficult circumstances to create significant global impact.

Governor Devvrat advocated for students to adopt simplicity and responsibility in their lives. He promoted healthy eating habits, honesty, and avoiding choices that might bring doubt, shame, or fear.

The Governor commended AVM's distinctive approach of providing free, values-centered education and praised the Adani Foundation for empowering underprivileged children to gain admission to India's premier institutions, including IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS.

His motivational address profoundly inspired the AVM community, reinforcing the belief that value-based education develops leaders capable of shaping the nation's future.

This visit was part of AVM's 'Changemaker Series,' an initiative that regularly brings distinguished personalities to inspire students through their personal journeys.

In recent years, the school has hosted various notable figures including Nischal Narayana (Mathematics Genius and India's Youngest CA, June 2024), John Abraham (Actor, Producer & Social Worker, April 2024), Nilesh Desai (Director - SAC/ISRO, July 2023), Cynthia McCaffrey (Country Head, UNICEF, July 2023), and Safin Hasan (India's Youngest IPS Officer, December 2022).

Established in 2008, AVM provides comprehensive free education including tuition, books, uniforms, meals, extracurricular activities, and transportation to first-generation learners.

The institution serves as a symbol of hope, combining academic excellence with ethics, values, discipline, and social responsibility. The Adani Foundation operates 4 such Adani Vidya Mandir schools located in Ahmedabad and Bhadreshwar in Gujarat, Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, and Surguja in Chhattisgarh.

Since its inception in 1996, the Adani Foundation, functioning as the social welfare and development branch of the Adani Group, has maintained adaptability and dedication to making strategic social investments for sustainable outcomes throughout India.

The Adani Foundation currently operates in 7,071 villages across 22 states, positively impacting the lives of 9.6 million people.
