A tragic incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli district on Monday when a six-year-old boy lost his life after being struck by a tractor. The accident happened after the driver lost control of the vehicle when one of its tyres suddenly burst, according to police reports.

The fatal incident took place around 7 am in the Baburi police station jurisdiction. Ritesh Giri, a young resident of Dabra Kala village, was enjoying playtime outside his home with other children when disaster struck. A passing tractor loaded with wheat experienced a tyre burst, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle hit the young boy, inflicting critical injuries. Tragically, Ritesh succumbed to these injuries while being transported to a hospital.

Authorities have confirmed that the boy's remains have been sent for post-mortem examination.

Baburi police station in-charge Surya Prakash Shukla stated that the tractor driver has been taken into custody, and a comprehensive investigation into the incident is currently underway.
