Biocon's executive chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, a prominent voice in India's corporate sector, has urged for "emergency measures" to tackle Bengaluru's civic problems following a trucking company CEO's announcement to relocate from the city's Outer Ring Road tech corridor.
BlackBuck's CEO and co-founder Rajesh Yabaji revealed that despite being headquartered in Bellandur for nine years, the company has made the difficult decision to move elsewhere. "But it's now very-very hard to continue here. We have decided to move out," Yabaji stated in his X platform post.

Roads full of potholes and dust, coupled with the lowest intent to get them rectified. Didn't see any of this changing in the next 5 years."
The BlackBuck CEO's announcement sparked considerable reaction, with numerous Bengaluru residents concurring that infrastructure issues like deteriorating roads and traffic congestion require immediate attention.
Aarin Capital and Manipal Global Education's chairman Mohandas Pai shared news coverage of Yabaji's post, tagging Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar: "Big, big failure of governance in Bengaluru. Minister DKShivakumar, please see, cos are moving out of ORR. Situation beyond hope. Please intervene," while also including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, municipal authorities, and other political figures.
In response to Pai's tweet, Shaw commented, "Emergency measures needed to fix these issues" and tagged Mr. Shivakumar.

Previously managed by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, the city's civic amenities now fall under the newly established Greater Bengaluru Authority's jurisdiction.
Residents continue highlighting road infrastructure problems through protests and social media campaigns. Recently, residents of Judicial Layout near Kanakapura Road placed potted plants around numerous potholes in a creative protest to draw municipal authorities' attention.
