Tragic Family Incident in Haryana: Man Takes His Life After Killing Two Daughters Following Wife's Death

Faridabad:

On Thursday, a 30-year-old man allegedly killed his two minor daughters before taking his own life at his residence in Ballabgarh Sector 8, according to police reports.

The initial investigation indicated that the deceased had been suffering from depression following his wife's death during childbirth approximately two months earlier, authorities stated.

Police spokesperson Yashpal Singh confirmed that investigators did not locate any suicide note at the scene.

Officials identified the deceased as Nikhil Goswami, a resident of Sector 8, Ballabgarh, who was employed as a supervisor at a private company.

Police reported that Nikhil had married Pooja in 2019, and the couple had two daughters: two-year-old Siddhi and a newborn named Riddhi.

According to police accounts, on Thursday evening, Nikhil allegedly hanged his daughters from a ceiling fan before proceeding to another room where he took his own life by hanging. Later that evening, when Nikhil's father, Uday Shankar, returned home, he discovered his granddaughters' bodies hanging. Upon entering the other room, he found Nikhil's body also hanging and immediately alerted authorities.

A Faridabad police spokesperson stated that an investigation into the case has been initiated.
