Bhojpuri Star Pawan Singh Receives Death Threats Over Salman Khan Connection: Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Link Investigated

Bhojpuri celebrity Pawan Singh, who previously participated in Salman Khan's reality show Bigg Boss, has reportedly received threats from individuals claiming association with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, warning him against collaborating with the Bollywood superstar.

Mumbai Police's Deputy Commissioner (Zone 9) Dixit Gedam confirmed on Monday that they have received a formal complaint and will conduct an appropriate investigation before taking further action.

According to police officials, Singh's manager filed the complaint after receiving threatening calls from someone claiming Lawrence Bishnoi gang affiliation. The caller explicitly warned that Singh should avoid working with or appearing alongside Salman Khan to prevent "severe consequences."

The intimidating messages targeting Singh reportedly began last Saturday, prompting his manager to request police protection. Another member of Singh's team has also received similar threatening calls, including demands for money.

Lawrence Bishnoi, currently incarcerated in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail for a drugs case, is also an accused in the murder of Punjabi singer-politician Sidhu Moosewala. The longstanding animosity between Bishnoi and Salman Khan stems from the 1998 blackbuck poaching incident, as the Bishnoi community considers the animal sacred.

Mumbai Police believes Bishnoi may be connected to the October 2024 killing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. Additionally, Lawrence's younger brother, Anmol Bishnoi, was recently extradited from the United States and taken into custody by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) upon arrival in Delhi.

Authorities suspect Anmol Bishnoi orchestrated both the April 2024 shooting incident at Salman Khan's residence and Sidhu Moosewala's murder.
