Recovered Drone Evidence Reveals Hamas-Style Terror Plot in Delhi Blast Investigation

The National Investigation Agency has uncovered crucial evidence linking Delhi blast co-conspirator Jasir Bilal Wani (alias Danish) to Hamas-style weaponized drone technology. Despite his attempts to delete incriminating materials, investigators recovered numerous drone images, videos of rocket launchers, and instructional content for creating explosive-laden drones from his phone, revealing a sophisticated terror plot with international connections.

Jasir Bilal Wani, alias Danish, an "active co-conspirator" in the Delhi blast.

Jasir Bilal Wani, known as Danish, believed he had successfully erased evidence relating to weaponised drones with Hamas-style characteristics from his devices. However, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) successfully recovered drone images from his phone revealing a pattern similar to Hamas operations.

According to sources, investigators discovered numerous pictures and videos of drones and rocket launchers in the deleted folder section of Danish's phone.

Instructional videos demonstrating how to incorporate explosives into drones were also retrieved from his device. These materials had been transmitted to the co-conspirator via an application.

The investigation has uncovered the presence of several foreign contact numbers within the application.

Further investigation revealed the terrorists' intention to develop modified drones capable of traveling distances up to 25 kilometers.

Investigators have verified that the terror module studied gliding rockets similar to those employed by Hamas. Paras Jain, CEO and Founder of Indowings, a company specializing in drone and anti-drone technology, explained that these rockets can be deployed from ground level or manually launched, serving as a cost-effective alternative to guided missile systems.

Jain informed NDTV that a single rocket can be launched within 20 seconds, with the capability to deploy three rockets in one minute. Hamas utilizes these rockets in large quantities due to their extensive impact radius and ability to create rapid disruption.

Danish, recognized for his expertise in drone modification, allegedly provided technical support for executing terror attacks by altering drones and attempting to develop rockets, according to an NIA statement.

Sources informed NDTV that he endeavored to create powerful drones equipped with large batteries capable of carrying heavier explosive payloads alongside cameras. He reportedly possesses experience in developing small weaponized drone systems.

Danish was apprehended by an NIA team in Srinagar on November 17.

"The accused, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, was an active co-conspirator behind the attack and had worked closely with the terrorist, Umar un Nabi, to plan the terror carnage," stated the NIA in their official release.
