A woman in the United States was captured on surveillance footage throwing hot coffee at a McDonald's employee after claiming her online order was delayed for over an hour. The incident, which was recorded and later shared by the Buena Vista Police Department, shows the woman aggressively confronting a manager at a Michigan McDonald's location before assaulting her with the scalding beverage.

In the footage, the woman, identified as 48-year-old Casharra Brown, can be heard shouting at the employee and accusing her of being a "liar." The manager calmly responded, "You've got your coffee. That's all that you were charged for. Your refund will take up to 48 hours."

As the manager turned away to resume her duties, Brown angrily exclaimed, "F*** you. Catch that hot-a** coffee," before hurling the hot coffee at the employee's back.

Following the incident, police authorities released the disturbing video on social media, which led to Brown's swift identification. Detective Russ Pahssen of the Buena Vista Police Department stated, "I must have gotten about 100 tips. Within about two minutes, we had her identified." A warrant has subsequently been issued for Brown's arrest.

The video quickly went viral online, with social media users calling for severe consequences for Brown's actions. One commenter noted, "So, she placed an online order with her name, email, and phone data attached to it, and proceeded to commit aggravated assault in the establishment from which she placed that online order. Smart."

Another user remarked, "She deserves prison time. No employee of any restaurant should put up with that," while a third added, "I can promise no McDonald's manager makes enough to deal with this type of person."

The incident follows another case from January where a Texas restaurant was ordered to pay $2.8 million (approximately Rs 24 crore) to a teenager who filed a lawsuit after sustaining burns from barbecue sauce. A six-member jury ruled that Bill Miller Bar-B-Q Enterprises must pay over $25,000 (about Rs 21 lakh) for medical expenses, $900,000 (around Rs 7.7 crore) for past and future suffering, and an additional $1.9 million (approximately Rs 16.4 crore) in punitive damages.
