Popular late-night television personality Jimmy Kimmel has had his show removed from broadcasting "indefinitely" following backlash over comments he made regarding the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
"The show will be preempted indefinitely," confirmed a spokesperson from the network.
Charlie Kirk, known for his close alliance with US President Donald Trump, was fatally shot last week while attending a public gathering in Utah. According to police reports, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson discharged a rifle from a rooftop position, striking Kirk in the neck. Robinson now faces murder charges.
