Revealed: Prince Andrew's Post-Jail Communications with Jeffrey Epstein Expose Royal-Epstein Connection

Newly released emails reveal former Duke of York Andrew planned to meet convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after his release from jail, writing "it would be good to catch up in person." These communications emerged as Buckingham Palace continues distancing itself from Andrew amid ongoing scandals and his connections to Epstein's trafficking operations.

Would Be Good To Catch Up: Andrew Planned To Meet Epstein After His Release From Jail

Newly disclosed emails reveal that former Duke of York Andrew expressed interest in meeting Jeffrey Epstein for a personal catch-up shortly after the financier was released from incarceration for sex crimes involving a minor.

Epstein served jail time until July 2009 for soliciting prostitution from an underage individual. According to The Guardian, correspondence dated April 15, 2010, shows Epstein suggesting that Andrew meet with Jes Staley, a former JPMorgan Chase executive who received a lifetime ban from the UK banking industry in June due to misleading regulators about his connections with Epstein.

In his response, Andrew wrote, "I have no immediate plans to drop by New York but I think I should at some stage soon. I'll look and see if I can make a couple of days before the summer. It would be good to catch up in person."

Later that year in December, the two men were photographed together while walking in New York's Central Park.

These messages were made public on Friday, just two days after Buckingham Palace removed Andrew Mountbatten Windsor's titles and struck him from the official peerage registry amid growing controversy regarding his scandals and associations with Epstein.

The Palace has faced increasing pressure to further distance itself from Andrew following Virginia Giuffre's memoir publication and reports about his rent-free living arrangement at Royal Lodge.

Giuffre, who died by suicide in April at age 41, reiterated in her memoir that she was coerced into sexual encounters with Andrew on three occasions, including when she was 17 and during an orgy organized by Epstein. Andrew has consistently denied these allegations.

The newly released communications emerged from unsealed court documents in a 2023 legal case between the US Virgin Islands and JPMorgan. The territorial government, where Epstein owned a private island and conducted much of his business operations, sued the bank over its alleged dealings with him. JPMorgan denied any wrongdoing and eventually settled without admitting liability.

Court filings also revealed that JPMorgan had notified US authorities about more than $1 billion in transactions linked to Epstein that potentially connected to human trafficking operations.
