Trick Or Treat? Donald Trump Recreates 2019 Viral Halloween Candy Moment

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump hosted the annual Halloween trick-or-treat event at the White House on Friday. This cherished tradition invites costumed children to visit the South Lawn and collect treats from the presidential couple.

During the festivities, President Trump recreated a memorable and viral moment from 2019 that previously captured social media attention. Rather than placing candy in a child's bag, Trump humorously positioned it on top of the child's head, as reported by Fox News.

This year's repeat performance occurred when a young trick-or-treater dressed as the popular DJ Marshmello approached the president. The child was wearing the musician's iconic rectangular marshmallow helmet while holding out a candy bag.

Instead of dropping the candy into the bag as expected, Trump playfully placed a large candy bar on top of the helmet. The confused child tilted his head back to see what was happening, but then seemed to understand the joke and walked away with the candy bar balanced on his head. The President and First Lady watched with smiles as the scene unfolded.

This moment perfectly mirrored a similar incident from 2019 when Trump placed candy on the head of a child dressed as a minion from the animated film Despicable Me.

Conservative Commentator Berry Johnson shared footage of the moment on X (formerly Twitter), writing: "PART TWO: President Trump just put a candy bar on a trick-or-treater's head AGAIN. He really did it again."

For the special occasion, the White House was transformed into a Halloween-themed mansion with presidential flair. Attendees arrived in various costumes, from superheroes and dinosaurs to pumpkins, with some children even dressed as miniature versions of the President and First Lady.

Beyond collecting treats, several children brought items for the President to autograph, including a golf ball and Time Magazine covers featuring Trump, according to The Independent.

Notable White House officials also participated in the event with their families, including White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
