A 22-year-old MBBS student from Rajasthan who experienced a brain stroke while studying in Kazakhstan was successfully airlifted to Jaipur on Monday evening after fighting for his life overseas.
Rahul Ghosalya, who hails from Jaipur's Shahpura area and had been pursuing his medical education in Astana since 2021, suffered a brain stroke on October 8. Following the medical emergency, he remained on ventilator support at a hospital in Kazakhstan.
Upon arrival in Jaipur via air ambulance, he was immediately transported to SMS Hospital under careful supervision of medical experts and district administration officials. Hospital authorities confirmed his admission to the Medical ICU ward.
Treatment has commenced under the leadership of SMS Medical College Principal Dr. Deepak Maheshwari, who has assembled a specialized four-member medical panel dedicated to Rahul's care and recovery.
A specialized critical care ambulance and dedicated medical team from SMS Hospital were mobilized specifically for his safe transfer from the airport to the medical facility.
Prior to his evacuation, Rahul's concerned parents had reached out through social media platforms, appealing to both central and state government authorities to facilitate their son's return to India for advanced medical treatment. Their plea garnered significant support, with various social organizations joining the family's efforts to coordinate the medical evacuation.
