Trump Claims He Can Easily Solve Pakistan-Afghanistan Conflict While Touting Peace Brokering Record

US President Donald Trump has claimed he could easily resolve tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, adding it to his list of international conflicts he says he's solved. Despite asserting he brokered peace between India and Pakistan, India maintains any ceasefire agreement came through direct military talks. Trump expressed frustration at not receiving Nobel recognition for his claimed diplomatic achievements in multiple global conflicts.

'Pak Attacked Afghanistan': What Trump Said On Brokering Peace

Trump once again asserted his claims about resolving numerous international conflicts.

Washington:

US President Donald Trump has reiterated his assertion of having "solved" eight wars and suggested that mediating peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan would be his next diplomatic endeavor. The President expressed confidence that resolving the Afghanistan-Pakistan conflict, which he referred to as his "number nine," would be a relatively "easy one" for him to address.

"Although I do understand that Pakistan attacked, or there is an attack going on with Afghanistan. That's an easy one for me to solve if I have to solve it. In the meantime, I have to run the USA, but I love solving wars," Trump stated while speaking to journalists at the White House.

The Republican leader repeated his claim of resolving multiple conflicts, including establishing peace between nuclear-armed neighbors India and Pakistan, a claim that New Delhi has categorically denied. India has consistently maintained that the agreement on ceasing hostilities with Pakistan was achieved through direct communication between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries.

Trump also expressed disappointment about not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for "solving the eight" wars, which he claims is an unprecedented achievement.

"I solved eight wars. Go to Rwanda and the Congo, and talk about India and Pakistan. Look at all of the wars that we solved, and every time I solved, when they said, 'If you solve the next one, you're going to get the Nobel Prize.' I didn't get a Nobel Prize. Somebody got it who is a very nice woman. I don't know who she is, but she was very generous. I don't care about all that stuff. I just care about saving lives. But this (Pak-Afghan conflict) will be number nine," he remarked.

"So, to the best of my knowledge, we've never had a president who solved one war. Not one war. Bush started a war... But I saved tens of millions of lives."
