US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after discovering a crack in the windshield.

The incident occurred as Hegseth was traveling back to the United States following his participation in a NATO defense ministers meeting in Brussels.

According to Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell, the aircraft made an unscheduled landing at a British airport. Parnell confirmed via social media that "the plane landed based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe."

Responding to the situation, Hegseth posted a reassuring message saying, "All good. Thank God. Continue mission!"

During his attendance at the NATO meeting, Secretary Hegseth had urged member nations to increase their military assistance to Ukraine in its ongoing defense against Russia's invasion.
