Trump's Medical Report Reveals 79-Year-Old President Has Cardiac Age of 65, Doctor Confirms "Exceptional Health"

A recent medical evaluation of President Donald Trump, 79, reveals he is in "exceptional health" with a cardiac age approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age. The White House released a memo from Trump's physician, Sean Barbabella, confirming strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance following his examination at Walter Reed Medical Center. The president, who was the oldest person to assume the US presidency when he returned to the White House in January, maintains a high-tempo schedule despite previously documented concerns about leg swelling and hand bruising.

Trump, 79, was the oldest person to assume the US presidency.

Donald Trump was determined to be in "exceptional health" according to a medical evaluation, as stated in a memo released by the White House on Friday. The document revealed that the president's "cardiac age" is 14 years younger than his "chronological age."

At 79, Trump holds the distinction of being the oldest individual to take on the US presidency when he returned to the White House in January, making him the second oldest person to ever serve as the nation's president.

During his tenure, the Republican president has maintained a rigorous schedule and continues to enjoy red meat. He plans to travel to the Middle East on Sunday following his successful brokerage of a Gaza ceasefire agreement.

"Trump remains in exceptional health, exhibiting strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical performance," wrote Trump's physician Sean Barbabella in the memo addressed to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

The president also received preventive health screenings and immunizations, including his annual flu shot and updated COVID-19 booster vaccinations, in preparation for his upcoming international travels.

"His cardiac age - a validated measure of cardiovascular vitality via ECG - was found be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age," stated the brief memo, which was just a few paragraphs in length.

Trump's health has become a topic of significant interest one year after President Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 reelection race amid questions concerning his fitness for office. During last year's presidential campaign, Trump highlighted the contrast between himself and Biden, portraying himself as younger and more physically fit.

Trump arrived at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, a hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, that has long served presidents, in the morning for what the White House described as a routine annual checkup, along with a meeting and remarks with troops.

This visit occurred just six months after his previous comprehensive physical examination.

A memo released by the White House following the April examination indicated that Trump stands 6 feet, 3 inches (190 cm) tall and weighs 224 pounds (102 kg) with well-controlled high cholesterol. It commended both his robustness and his golf abilities.

In July, the White House disclosed that Trump was experiencing swelling in his lower legs and bruising on his right hand, after photographs revealed the president with swollen ankles and makeup covering the affected area of his hand.

Barbabella stated in a letter released by the White House at that time that tests confirmed the leg issue was attributed to "chronic venous insufficiency," a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over 70 years old.

The doctor explained that the bruising on Trump's hand was consistent with minor soft tissue irritation resulting from frequent handshaking and aspirin use, which Trump takes as part of a "standard cardiovascular prevention regimen."

Since then, the White House has minimized concerns about Trump's health, without providing specifics on how the leg condition is being treated.

In 2020, during his first presidential term, the White House provided conflicting and unclear assessments of Trump's health after he contracted COVID-19.
