Gautam Singhania, Chairman of Raymond Group, will be among the distinguished industry leaders attending the NDTV World Summit 2025 in New Delhi.

The summit will bring together global leaders from politics, business, science, and culture at Bharat Mandapam for a two-day event on October 17 and 18, focusing on global innovation, collaboration, and emerging challenges.

Born on September 9, 1965, in Mumbai, Gautam Singhania is the son of Vijaypat Singhania, a renowned businessman and former chairman of Raymond Group, which is globally recognized as a leading producer of suiting fabric.

Singhania joined the family enterprise in 1986, becoming a director of Raymond Group in 1990. He was later appointed as managing director in July 1999 and elevated to Chairman in September 2000.

When Singhania took the helm, Raymond was diversified across multiple industries including steel, cement, and synthetics. He strategically restructured the company by divesting these non-core businesses and redirecting focus entirely toward lifestyle products.

Under his leadership, Raymond Group underwent a significant strategic transformation known as "Raymond 2.0."

Singhania expanded Raymond's portfolio into textiles and apparel brands such as Raymond, Park Avenue, and Parx, while also venturing into men's grooming, personal care, and prophylactics.

He successfully positioned Raymond as a premium lifestyle and fashion brand that appeals to contemporary urban consumers. In a recent diversification move, Raymond entered the real estate sector with the launch of Raymond Realty.

Singhania elevated Raymond to international prominence through various global partnerships. The company established joint ventures with UCO Textiles of Belgium for denim manufacturing and Gruppo Zambaiti of Italy for high-end shirting fabrics.

The Raymond Group, under Singhania's leadership, demonstrates strong commitment to educational excellence. Through its four schools across India, the group provides quality education to over 10,000 children.

For his significant contributions to industry and Maharashtra's economy, Gautam Singhania was honored with the Maha Udyog Shri Award from the Government of Maharashtra.

Singhania was married to Nawaz Modi until their separation in 2023. The couple has two daughters.
