US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday his plans to travel to the Middle East on Sunday following successful negotiations for the first phase of a Gaza peace plan that includes a ceasefire and the release of hostages.
During his remarks in the Oval Office, Trump informed reporters that Israeli hostages would be returning home early the following week.
"The hostages will be coming back Monday or Tuesday. I'll probably be there. I hope to be there. And we're planning on leaving sometime Sunday, and I look forward to it," the President stated.
