Images of President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were projected onto Windsor Castle during the US president's UK visit.
United Kingdom:
On Tuesday, activists projected footage of Donald Trump alongside convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein onto Windsor Castle, where the US president is scheduled to stay during his state visit to the UK.
The projection was orchestrated by Led by Donkeys, an activist group renowned for its high-profile political stunts. The video display, which lasted several minutes on one of the castle's towers, featured Trump's mugshot, images of Epstein, newspaper headlines, and video of the two men dancing together.
Following the incident, local authorities reported that four individuals were taken into custody "on suspicion of malicious communications."
Chief Superintendant Felicity Parker of Thames Valley Police stated, "We take any unauthorised activity around Windsor Castle extremely seriously," and noted that officers "responded swiftly to stop the projection."
The US president has continually faced questions regarding his past association with Epstein, who died in prison custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sexual exploitation.
The controversy has also affected UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who recently removed his ambassador to Washington following revelations about the diplomat's connections to Epstein.
Prior to Trump's arrival, dozens of protesters had already gathered in Windsor to demonstrate against his visit.
Several thousand more are expected to protest in London, though the US president's itinerary will keep him away from the capital city and public gatherings.
President Trump and First Lady Melania will be hosted at Windsor Castle on Wednesday by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
On Thursday, Trump will join Prime Minister Starmer for discussions on political and economic matters at the prime minister's country residence before returning to the United States.
